Life is an Adventure

Life is an Adventure.

It took a while but I can now see life as an adventure to be enjoyed. The experience of being here now is infinitely more enjoyable than being lost in thought about the future.

Short break in Belfast with my solemate, best pal and wife.

Squeezed in a 5 mile run in 50 mins as drizzle fell.

Follow your dreams.

The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly... I love the person that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow brave from reflection.

13.4 mile run in chilly Dublin today in 2:08.

Running Into 2020

7 half marathons ran in January 2020, with a total of 169 miles ran in the month.

Delighted to have delivered a motivational talk to the Directors and Associates of HR Search of Fitzwilliam Sq Dublin to support their CSR week in collaboration with Aware.

Also delighted to have been invited by Joe Dalton of Dublin City radio to speak at the "Change your mind - Change your life seminar in Dundrum. Great line up of speakers.

Fear

There will be fear in 2020 when you step outside your comfort zone in reaching your goals.

In the words of my US ultra marathon pal Rob Steger.

“As I begin to push nearer my personal limits, the element of fear becomes a real factor, I try to scare myself just enough into healthy training and eating habits. My goal needs to be just on the edge, scary enough to harness the fear and ride it into race day"

Follow your dreams for 2020.

Give something back.

Many thanks to Niamh Kennelly for the invitation to come speak to the fantastic people in HR selection as part of their CSR week in conjunction with Aware, on mindfulness and reaching your Personal and Business goals.

Thanks for the craic and fantastic feedback.

What does it take?

What do you think it takes to achieve your goals ?

Hard work ? , Lots of actions ? ,

Yep both are important but neither is possible without a positive mind. 3.3 mile lunchtime run along a new route in chilly Leopardstown with my pal, colleague and faster marathoner Tony Hamilton.

Be thankful for the lessons the dark times taught you.

Follow your dreams.

Working on the mental, spiritual, physical.

Working on your goals through Mindfulness includes looking at the physical, mental and spiritual areas of your life.

Sunday 8 am delighted to have read the word of God to the congregation of Mount Argus in Kimmage. Then a 13.2 mile run in 2:03 listening to the positive music of Spirit radio with jesus in my heart.

Surround yourself with positive people as I did yesterday at the Change your mind - Change your life seminar in Dundrum.

Reach for your dreams.
