Put your foot down and get the spring back in your step!

At times we all allow our bad experiences to poison our attitude and steal our passion as we hold onto these past experiences.

In my motivational talks in supporting corporate wellness program's I help people realise that through  the gift of letting go it is possible to get up every morning with a fresh new attitude to identify new opportunities and new possibilities, new doors will open for you.

You are unique and no issue in your past can stop you reaching your destiny.

When you put your foot down and are determined to get rid of that negative attitude you will get that spring back in your step.

Go for it….

If you are passive, indifferent, latergic, you won't reach your potential.

Don't let disappointments make you become half hearted, what you want may be taking longer to achieve but if you stir up that fire inside, you will prevail.

As a survivor of 7 armed robberies in a banking career and a survivor of mental exhaustion in 2010, I support corporate wellness programmes speaking about the importance of being resilient  and having  grit in meeting personal and business goals.

Learnings.

Life is full of experiences, experiences from which we gain learnings. We learn only if we take the time to slow down and take stock.

Happiness

Happiness is inside.

You can't buy it or sell it, wear it or drive it. Lots of people live in poverty and are happy and lots of people with millions are not.

Goals in life are great but the look to the future, happiness can only exist in the here and now.

4.6 mile run in very windy and cold conditions around Leopardstown at lunchtime in 41 mins with my fellow colleague pal and marathoner Gary Duffy.

Morality lost.

Morality lost! , just as they muddy the waters to make it seem deep.

It's been a happy romantic time recently for some of us, Others over the same time have suffered at the hand's of people they have never or will ever meet, who carry out actions as individuals and in business without due care that has a devastating / detrimental effect on other humans.

Morality and Ethics seem to be lost in the general media and social media, Politics, and many other businesses , its what sells or gets votes to hell with the personal cost.

As a leader the same can be said of some managers, in the way they treat their teams - it's why good people leave companies - remember there is more to having morals and ethics in business than just a catchy strapline.

It's time for everyone to step up and take care on how they interact with their fellow humans in every walk of life.

If you're a bully in life and in your business career your time should be just about up. Its time for people to have the courage to speak up.

Visualisation works.

You can have sincere intentions of introducing a new goal in your life, but fate seems against you.

Obstacles of all types can do their best to prevent you from getting close. But there's good news visualisation can help you get on track there's no right or wrong way, just your way.!

When enough is enough.

In a chaotic, high speed world of schedules, commitments demands and stress there is a yearning for a balance.

7 mile run Wednesday night in 1:02 on a bright sunny yet windy Dublin evening.

Who's driving the bus?

When the walls are closing in and you don't have a clear perspective you need assistance to take a step back. Exercise can help you change the negative from I can't, I have to, I need to to a positive mindset with I can, it's my choice, I don't need to do that.

From a 5k runner to a half marathoner to a marathoner to an ultra marathon runner I am proof taking time out each day to give yourself a life- giving choice while working on a personal balanced plan can change your life both in your personal and Business life.

Write down your goals and follow your dreams.

Life is an Adventure

Life is an Adventure.

It took a while but I can now see life as an adventure to be enjoyed. The experience of being here now is infinitely more enjoyable than being lost in thought about the future.

Short break in Belfast with my solemate, best pal and wife.

Squeezed in a 5 mile run in 50 mins as drizzle fell.
